Canadians check in here....

Ill tell you this,. New brunswick especially kent county is at an all time low! Were being sold 20 extra acres for 15 thousand to go with our house

I know! It's driving me crazy! My hubby would have no problem getting a job and my job transfers without issue. Argh. Whenever I think about how we're never going to get anywhere in life because of the real estate here, I get angry. Especially when there is a solution (that to me) seems like a no brainer!

I'm in Shediac Cape. This area is pricey. My In-laws are selling it to us with a huge chunk off of the value. We don't have 20 acres though. Our neighbours have given us permission to use as much as we want without building any permanent buildings on their area. They have 150 acres or some crap like that. They don't even have a house on their land!

Thats why I mentionned kent county. Shediac has been booming in price. Kent county is all old people dying and no one buying so prices are dropping. eccept maybe sainte marie

I wanted to be in Irishtown area. It's reasonably priced, but they are knocking enough off the price of this house to make it worth it for us. Even though being in between Shediac and Moncton is not a big deal to us. It is convenient.

Any one here in the eastern ontario area, we r near Merrixkvilleand r looking for varios types fowl for our hobby farm, currently have geese and chickens looking to expand our flock to include , ducks, turkeys, some colourful roosters, and any knowledge on those would be greatly appreciated.

I'm on the opposite end of the country in Northern BC. Pricing isn't cheap for property here, but it is nothing like that in Vancouver and area. I don't know how anyone could own land down there.

All of my friends are screwed Shelley :( We moved 5 hours north up the coast from Vancouver. We are incredibly lucky.

I know exactly how you feel. Isn't it a daunting task? I'm tired just thinking about it.

I think I will just take all the roosters out for a few weeks. Then put only the rooster back from the breed I want to hatch... I dunno yet, got more breeds then pens this year . Don't how it happened, I wanted to cut down (yeah, like THAT will ever happen....

). Ok, I am a far cry from the 13 breeds I use to have.
