I can't believe it's not snowing yet and it's CANADA
We had one day of snow and it lasted the night - there's a ton in the backcountry here, I just don't make it there ever!

I've been really impressed with this forum and I'd love to get in contact with more Canadians interested in chickens.
This forum inspired me to create a free website today and I'm hoping that I can put together a Canadian Breeder Directory to help facilitate contacts. The Directory would allow people to look up contacts based on breeds and/or location.
Let me know if you're interested in being listed in the Directory heritagechickens.weebly.com or if you have any comments or suggestions.
And, happy New Year!

Ummm ok. I has a question. I have hatched from chicken eggs and of course became that broody hen stairing in awe in to the little box of wonder. My question is about quail eggs... is it normal for an egg to shake? Or am I just loosing it? or need more sleep

Other canadian poultry sites available would be these:Morning all! I have a new facebook page I'd like to invite ya'll to join! When I was looking to swap eggs for the BYC NYD hatch I couldn't find anyone in Canada to swap with so I got the idea that it might be nice to set up a dynamic CANADIAN resource for networking with like-minded poultry folks, so I set up a group called A Speckled Hen. For those who are interested in joining and helping make it a fun and useful recourse, please follow the link below. Of course, this is not to take away from the BYC antics or any other site, but there just didn't seem to be many resources of this sort out there for us Canucks! Hope to see you there![]()
