Thanks for the link. The Isa brown are no problem. I can get them as day olds or as 19 week old ready-to-lay from Berg's just a couple of hours away, but so far, no luck on the Buff Brahma. I did find day-olds at Performance Poultry in Ontario, but the shipping cost would be ridiculous. There's a good "Odd & Unusual" sale in Moosejaw, SK every year and I think I'll see what they've got to offer but I think my only option might be to look for a breeder here on the forum. That link you posted looks like the best place to start.

Sheri,

In the future, once we have everything going, I may be able to help you out. We go to the dog show in Yorkton every year. Its a short drive to you from there. Keep me in mind anyway. We may be able to help each other.

Good Luck

I'm not certain this is the right place to post this question, but I hope so. Has anyone ever been to the "Odd & Unsual" sale in Moosejaw, SK? I'm thinking of going this year, but don't quite know what to expect. Do they have a lot of different breeds of chicken? I'm able to find local sources for the layers and, if I go with day-olds, I can get the Orps locally too, but now I've got my heart set on some Buff Brahmas and can't seem to find any nearby. I'm not sure I'm ready to brood the little ones so I'd rather find young started birds if I can. Don't want much, do I?

Hi everyone. I guess spring is in the air. Even though we still have 6 wks to go I am getting ansty. It is above zero today. I even let my girls out a bit this morning. My partridge projet is still moving along. I pretty much know how I will build my pen. Sometime this week I will confirm my order, I still haven't decided whether I will hatch them or not. My girlfriend and I are putting a batch of quails in the bator for Easter, then I was thinking of starting a bunch of silkies. Are any of you interested in selling and mailing eggs. All I seem to find around here are white and I would like to have a vareity of them.
