What's the latest you all wait in lockdown? Just curious.
Day 22, chicks are all alive it looks like, but no pips.
Yes, you answered my question, thank you!
Candled this morning, I can't see much of anything, but the veining on the outside edges are undulating like breathing or a heartbeat? This is why I think they're all still alive. Still no pips now.
Day 23, candled and everyone is alive and literally kicking around. My temps were low in the beginning of this batch so I sort of expected this. I hope I didn't totally ruin this batch too, especially since so many made it to the end.

100 plus eggs going into lock down to night (would do it this morning but have to wait for incubators for hatching to heat back up after they were all cleaned one was used for hatching quail yesterday. Should be up to temp by tonight and I am going to stop and pick up shelf liner today decided to separate the purebred chicks into some baskets I picked up so that I can tell who is who. next batch of eggs next batch after that is a small one and goes into lockdown the following monday. Then I believe my next hatch is not until easter hatch but that will be my biggest one yet. Actually ended up with three more quail chicks last night so that is a total of 34 although one is a cross beak and only has one eye very sad my daughter does not want me to put it down I will try to get pictures tonight. Also have one of chicks from this last weekend that is walking on the back of its knees. So sad but I know I need to toughen up and do the right thing for them anybody have any thoughts?
