Candeling and hatching diary.

So you think I should lay just the ducks and geese down or just some. Or do all the eggs in the Bator?
It's really up to you, I can only tell you what works best for me. If it was me, Yeh, I would be laying them down as soon as I see the Spider veins. But if keeping them in an upright position works for you then stick with what you know best. Different things work for different people..

My frame of thinking, is I try to think like a duck and or a chicken and they do not have there eggs in an upright position, they lay them down, of course, well in my experiments, I try to duplicate what they do. Remember they are the experts, so if you have an opportunity to duplicate what they do, then try it.. Maybe try half the eggs and see what happens, keep us inform see if the results are the same or if you have better results with them laying down then you will know what to do in the future, if the results are the same, well then I guess in your case it doesn't matter. LOL etc....

It's fun to experiment...

I have a pip!!! It's not all the way through I don't think but the shell is def broken. Still don't hear any peeping though. Should I be?
NICE, it must be one of those kinds where you can barely hear the little guy. Just keep an eye on him give him 24 hours to make progress, my guess, he'll be out by then. LOL

I'm with you @pinusresinosa! This is the end of day 20 and no noise from the incubator. Just waiting......

Cooper, same here but beginning of day 20 for me. Starting to feel like a failure...

LOL

Started with a dozen, out of 4 in the incubator I have 2 viable - one pipping. And there are 7 under my broody which I haven't seen. I'm going to go bother her in a few hours to take a peak and see what's going on there.
