Candle Update

Ok i know i said i wouldn't candle till day 7 but it's going on day 4 and 5 for the eggs i have now in my bator and you can see a chick embryo from day 3 and up and my sister was over and she wanted to see anyway..lol

So here it is.......

All the frizzle eggs have chicks

only one green NN egg has a chick - the other one blood ring

4 of your eggs are iffy's the rest had blood rings

3 of your buff silkie eggs are iffy's the rest had blood rings

i didn't candle any of the bobwhite or pheasant eggs i'll just let them go an hope for the best

.............

Now all the eggs that have blood rings i left them in the bator i'll recheck on day 7 just to be sure but i'm already sure theres nothing cuz Lisa eggs you can see a chick with the eyes and there moving.... but i'll leave the blood ring eggs in till day 7

No worries here as i already and knew all the eggs wouldn't hatch.. thats just the risk you take

........

and plus i have another box coming with eggs from Tori

lol thats why i didn't throw away the eggs with the blood rings

the eggs with the blood rings ..ok

the hole egg is clear and the air cell is out lined with a red ring = blood ring

but like i said there still in the bator and i'll recandle on day 7

That can be deceiving, Mark... hold off on tossing them until day 14. Well, unless they're weeping. What looks like a bloodring could just be the vein system starting... I've tossed some that looked like that and regretted it...

...and, don't forget 4 of them were the experiment eggs... the ones with the "R" on them were refrigerated for at least a week, and one was waxed because it was cracked.

But you have 8 more coming, fresh, that haven't been through all that, so

I know not to throw them away this early..lol

thats why i'll recandle on day 7 by then there might be some chicks in them and if they still look iffy i'll keep them for another 7 days but if it looks the same by them then there out..

i do that with all my chicken eggs
