Ditto Dat^^^If she has other eggs in there, she's risking it rotting and exploding on other eggs. Potentially putting then in danger. That egg isn't alive.
Real helpful you are. Not.

Agreed!!!If she has other eggs in there, she's risking it rotting and exploding on other eggs. Potentially putting then in danger. That egg isn't alive.

I have never seen a post from shamo that made sense or was helpful. He's the perfect example of an internet troll. sorry if I'm coming across as rude but it's the truth.Agreed!!!
I've been seeing this user around everywhere and I can't say that, from a knowledgeable perspective, I would follow their given advice.
Have a seen a couple-few that were incredibly articulate and helpful....which was odd in light of the majority.I have never seen a post from shamo that made sense or was helpful. He's the perfect example of an internet troll. sorry if I'm coming across as rude but it's the truth.
I hate to rain on your parade, Shamo Hybrid... But there is absolutely NO CHANCE there’s a chick embryo developing in that egg, ESPECIALLY since it’s on day 17 of 21. If she listened to you, and kept it in there, she’d risk losing her entire batch due to that egg (I.e. it could explode and spread potentially dangerous bacterial matter throughout the incubator). I get that you try to be helpful (do I really?), but sometimes you can be a bit, how do I put this nicely, overbearingly impractical.Just leave it in there just in case.... it doesn't hurt anything and it's only for a few more days. Or would you rather just crack open the egg and see Chicken Little alive and kicking but slowly dying cuz of what you've done? The choice is yours.
first one, started to develop, but has died. At day 17 the whole egg minus the aircell should be too dark to see through. These eggs were incubated a bit low. I have a still air and they were at about 100.5 for the first 12 days. I have since kicked it up a degree.
The first one pictured below is a chicken egg. A Cemani. I was worried about the dark spot because it looks a bit rotten to me. Although it doesn’t float around when moved. but being a Cemani could it just be that the chick is cole black? The egg is pictured at day 17

The second egg is a turkey egg at day 19. This too was a degree low at 100.5 but for two days longer than the chicken eggs- so for the first 19 days. I’m thinking this one is not fertile.

Any input is much appreciated. Thanks!
I asked for helpful. Not rude. I don’t appreciate your condescending overture. It’s rude and uncalled for. As far as I know, this is a form for nice, NON rude people to help each other and a place to come when seeking advice. Not a forum that one comes to with the expectation to be talked down to like some idiot. I’m not stupid. I never said anything about cracking it open. Who even comes up with stuff like that? Not me. So next time you’re tempted to come along and comment so disrespectfully- keep moving. That’s not why I post on this site- and quite honestly, you’re the only one I’ve ever come across on BYC that’s acted like such... such.... well, there’s no other word- a jerk. Good lord... I must be out of my mind myself seeing how I’m time my time responding so in depth to someone that I really have no desire to be connected to on any level going forward.Whatsoever If I wanted to post with jerks I’d go find political forums to fight on. Hell, sometimes I do. But I don’t bring that crap here. I check it at the door. We’re talking about chickens here. To that end, So have a great day! And I hope whoever is raining on your parade to make you such an unpleasant person- stops doing that so you can enjoy life a little.Just leave it in there just in case.... it doesn't hurt anything and it's only for a few more days. Or would you rather just crack open the egg and see Chicken Little alive and kicking but slowly dying cuz of what you've done? The choice is yours.
Well in this case, there will be no 'chicken little' because the chicken died.I wasn't being 'rude', it's just there have been many times where people thought the egg was no longer viable..... taking it out and cracking it open only to see Chicken Little squirming around breathing his last breath!
Chicken Little, dammit..... think of Chicken Little!!
