Candled eggs- opinions please.

This is what I was thinking I was looking at.
I thought the areas that the black arrows are pointing to are veins.
I thought the air cell was the area that the blue arrow is pointing to.

My question is this:

If it were viable I’d expect it to hatch two or three days from now after the temp being a bit low the first 14 days (99.5 on a still air). Should I put it in lockdown just Incase? Would you? Or do you feel pretty certain it’s a dud? It’s my first time incubating and I am thinking (thinking wrong it seems) that this was the only egg that was possibility viable. Thanks!

That one is a dud. It just looks like sloshy liquid. No signs of a baby at all. That seriously stinks. I'm sorry. Maybe buy from a different seller in the future.

Looks good and healthy!
Yay. Thank you! I was getting close to defeated but decided to dig up my tenacity. Problem being- now I have 40 eggs in an upgraded incubator rather than 3 in a run of the mill bator. Oh well. Go big or go home right? Chicken math + fierce determination + increasing my odds = potentially, a lot of chickens. But I’m prepared for it just Incase. I’d rather have a lot than none. But I’ll admit this - it would’ve been cheaper to order live chicks. But I have to beat my incubation ineptness at some point. Why not now? I did try years ago and failed. And quit. But one thing is for sure- the last twenty years has instilled a ton of stubborn persistence in my fiber- good, bad or indifferent- it’s true. So fingers crossed. And toes. And arms. And legs. And anything else I can metaphorically or literally Voss is crossed hoping for the best possible outcome. So thanks for the help! MUCH APPRECIATED :bow:love:hugs

Thanks so much. So so much. The support and pats on the back from this online community have kept me going and determined so very many, many times. You have no idea. I’m so so grateful. You will all be the first one to hear hatch news. I hope!

So happy for you!

It’s a good time to update that I’ve successfully hatched over 40. Stuck with it and am fourtunte and lucky enough to be cranking out 80-100% hatch rates last month and this month. Thanks for the help everyone.
