That is correct!Hey I gotta question along this line as well...
Does it matter what position the egg is in? I was thinking that if the fat end is down then the chick is upside-down, right?
Thanks!
Will this work for my green americuana eggs?Welcome to BYC! Sometimes I use two flashlights, one at each end.![]()
You can try. Works pretty well on my dark, thick-shelled pea eggs. Will this work for my green americuana eggs?
I don't know if anyone had already suggested this, but what I've done in the past is take a toilet paper tube and hold the flash light up to one end of the tube and hold the egg up to the other end. Also, you could take a issue box and cut a hole in one side and cut another hole across from it. Use the same procedure as the toilet paper tube. Hope you find away to candle your eggs! Good luck!!!Is there a good way to candle eggs especially dark brown (Maran) chicken eggs without spending an arm and a leg for a commercial Candle device? I have used an empty toilet paper roll and flashlight but it was still really difficult to visualize inside the egg.
I did look at them before setting them to incubate. I will check again on Friday 2/16. This will be day 7.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
