Here is a link to some photos of a bantam Silver Sebright, which looks exactly like your little one. http://chickenpic.blogspot.com/2008/06/sebright-chickens-silver-and-golden.html
"Any chance it could be a Serama? If it is smaller than your Silkies, it could be a Serama. The bins at TSC are usually marked in some general way- any clues there? You can always call them and ask the manager to let you know what was ordered in that shipment. They will also know which hatchery they received them shipment from and you can go to the hatchery website to see if they carry Seramas. It's really too soon to tell the gender though. A few more weeks. It looks like it's going to have gorgeous coloring!"
Never heard of that breed.... it is definitely smaller than our Silkies. All the bin said was "mixed Bantams" so I knew it'd be a smaller bird and it was noticeably smaller than every other bird in the bin. I'll have to check back to see which hatchery they ordered from. I did call and ask what he thought it might be and he really didn't have a clue other than to say possibly a silver-laced wyndotte, sebright or lavendar something? I'm hopeful it'll be pretty and so far it loves our kids so should be a fun addition. Thanks a bunch for the suggestion... certainly gives me ideas of breeds to keep an eye on.
