I have this 7 yr old rooster and i never had a problem with him until i found him yesterday with a swollen eye. My thought was that he fought another rooster that i have. So i cured him and his eye now isn’t swollen but he dose not open it now. I forcefully opened his eye and it seems okay he dose open it once in a while, but im worried. He also looks tired and his crop was not full at all, so i gave him some egg and nutri drench. What can I do because his eye isn’t opening and he looks tired.

What does the eye look like? Is there any drainage or pus? He may be having trouble seeing his water and food, and is in pain. I would take him aside twice a day and offer some mushy wet chicken feed and some bits of scrambled egg. A chicken vitamin such as Poultry NutriDrench or Poultry Cell 2 ml orally daily for a few days would be good.

His eye is just a little watery, no pus. Do u think i should flush his eye with something?

I would use some saline or Bausch and Lomb Eye Relief Eye Wash twice a day, and apply a small dab of either Terramycin or plain Neosporin triple antibiotic ointment into the eye twice a day.

maybe it's still sore. do you have any of the small homeopathy pills that come in their first aid kit? Arnica 30C is good for pain trama and also eye. I just drop them in their mouths
