Can't wait to start hatching soon! Anyone else with 10/14 hatch day?

Yeah! I just got my 10 Lavender Orpington eggs in the mail today - they are settling right now & I hope to put them with 24 Silkie eggs due here tomorrow. I'll put both in the bator on Friday, Sept 23rd for October 14th hatch date! So exciting! I love having the babies around. Of course we won't be keeping all those chicks - just one or two from each batch - but it will be fun to hatch out some fuzzy butts.

Hi! I just got my Ameraucana eggs today from the PO!

I will put them in the incubator tonight at 9-10 pm i got 12. So my hatch day will be 10/12! I also have some Silkie eggs from my Silkies I will put in there also, so far 2.

Hello! I'll be incubating along with you. I received 12 Black Copper Marans eggs and 6 Swedish Flower Hen eggs in the mail today that I will put in the incubator tonight along with 6 Barred Rock eggs from our own chickens. I'm not sure who is more excited - me or the kids!

Yeah - Welcome! Hoping this hatch goes better then my last one in July. It was so hot when they were shipped that even with an ice pack only 1 out of 14 eggs hatched

I got my Marans eggs today! 12 big beautiful eggs, wonderful color for this late in the year. I'll be hatching with you!

I'm expecting a dozen serama eggs tomorrow; so I'll be hatching too!!

Here are my 10 lavender orpington beauties - expecting the 24 silkie eggs today.

The Silkies are here! I have 27 eggs going in the bator.

I'm thinking they are: Blue/Black/Split, Buff, Porcelain, Blue/Black/Splash, Black Lavender Split, White, Partridge and Splash - these were the colors I could figure out from the codes. There's also one mystery egg - so can't wait to see what that one will be - hoping it hatches!

My 12 serama eggs are now in the incubator!
Here's hoping for a decent hatch, six are silkied
Seramas and I am eager to have a couple of those!

I am also keeping lots of notes, so if it turns out
good or bad I'll know what to repeat or avoid next
time.
