Nah. We southerners are pretty good about making fun of ourselves. You would just start a rush of jokes about which of our relatives might be mutant.

I grew up in So Cal and spent a lot of time in LA. Which is why I live in WA.

But Californians are just seen as liberal. People in the south are depicted as stupid. I think I would rather have liberal jokes thrown at me then jokes about my intelligence or nonbranching family tree.
