folks, i am sitting here in my fallout shelter surrounded by canned goods, dried goods, lots of home made beer, alcohol guns and ammunition. I will not take off my tinfoil hat till the gooberment decides to stay out of my business.

I know a little about power generation, transmission, alternates, and current technologies. There is almost no truth to any of this, whether told by the politicians, businesses, media, green groups, and conservative groups.

It's more government control disguised as a bill, just like most bills.


We have the technologies now but use around 20%. I do agree with GrayDragon about businesses not caring. I can walk into any almost any facility, save them HUGE amounts on energy bills, offer environmentally friendly and self sufficient solutions, show them how much money the state of CT will give them FREE, and even do a dance for them. No one will put out any capital, even with a proven payback of under 2 years. It's sad.


Meanwhile the population is conned into believing they can save the world by changing their light bulbs.


Eventually the cost of oil will make nuclear, cogeneration, geothermal, solarthermal and a few other valid alternates very popular. I believe Obama wants to move the country in this direction, as he should, but his hands are tied by 100's of organizations, both lib and con.

I was two classes away from a degree in Solar Engineering when I got in a car accident. Never got the degree, but had plenty of learnin'!

While technology has progressed (mainly due to advancements in battery technology), it still isn't prime time.

You are right...this whole cap and trade thing is a massive power and money grab. Nothing more.​

Sorry, but what was the amount of the proposed tax that sent us to our revolutionary war? I know all the other factors but wasn't it a proposed 4% income tax?
