Car vs Rooster!!! Can he be saved???

Here's Lucky's latest video...

The bad banty roos have been caged since the incident and will be going to their new home tomorrow...I've put too much time and care into Lucky, it's not fair for him to have to try and prove himself to a bunch of roosters with Napoleon syndrome

I love how he's not being mean, just standing up for himself - and boy, did he do that well! No visible problems with the leg, but those hackles - wow! They're working great!!!
He's just a really nice rooster - and I think he's going to do an awesome job with the flock. Gut feeling, but I'm going with it

I know, right! A couple hens walk right through the middle of it...my son was petting him on the back...Lucky J La Roo is the gentleMAN!

Today he did great! Since the bad boys were caged, there was no drama to be had...at one point Lucky was outside checking out the shed, I brought him back to the coop because it's pretty dang cold today. Then later this afternoon I went to give warm treats to everyone and he was up on the highest roost! A little lady on either side of him, snuggling up close...and two ladies were grooming him today so gently and quietly preening his head and neck feathers of the "plastic straw" looking things from his new feather growth...He was LOVING it!!!

And he's all the more handsome because of their TLC

Oh, and I did take him down off of the roost and put him in his "bedroom" for the night...I just don't want something to happen in morning before I get to them or for him to leap off of the roost and snap his leg so close to splint removal day...he's just doing so great now!!
Thanks again everyone!!!

Wow, he looks awesome in that most recent video! It's great to see he has use of that leg as well. I was really worried maybe it'd be too hard to rehab it. I loved that one red hen just walking between them over and over.

I know how heartwarming it is to see the girls preening their big guy especially when he's never experienced it before! Doesn't it just lift you up to know you are the reason he is so happy and healthy today?? Please don't stop giving us updates on Lucky because I don't have any chickens right now and I am getting my chicken fix through you and your posts!!!

I would NOT give baby aspirin if he is bleeding. It is a blood thinner and could cause him to bleed to death if he has internal injury. Without seeing the leg its hard to say what to do. Does it look as though you could wrap it to put it straight? I would wrap and tape. Put him in a box with a towell under a light and let him rest. If he does die at least he is not alone and cold on the side of the road. Good job stepping up for him! All you can do is wait it out.

Congratulations on the progress with Lucky and introducing him to the flock.
Impressive that you gave away the dominant roos to allow him to be king.
I hope all continues to go well for him.
