Caring for chicks while out of town

We are getting chicks late June and we would like to visit family overnight. Is it safe to do this with a chicken sitter or having someone stop by to check on them? Or should we just forget our trip?

I usually leave my chicks at friends houses if I go out of town. I am nervous about water and the light.

If it was just overnight though it should be fine. Especially is someone comes by to check on them.

When I first got my baby chicks my hubby got into a horrible accident and needed to be hospitalized. I had my inlaws check on them once a night. Somehow they all made it. If you can, definately have a friend check on them. The food and water almost always get tipped over.
