What I am bringing has changed.

The "Standard mix breed trio" is now a pair of pullets. Price is still $20.

Mille fleur d'Uccle cockerels: I will be bringing 2 of these little men.

The cream light brown dutch pair are not going to be ready by then. I need to wait till October so I can really judge these birds.

Mixed breed bantam cockerels will not be available till the end of Oct at the Morganton show.

OK, I'm the one who REALLY, REALLY wants chickens, but DH ABSOLUTELY refuses to even consider it. So....I've drafted DD and the 2 granddaughters to come with me. (Hubby has no problem with me attending an event...) Hoping the exposure will put her on my side! So if you see Chedva there, please offer to let us hold and pet your chickens !!

In order to legally bring birds into NC they have to originate from a NPIP flock that is also certifed AI clear or have had an AI test within 21 days of entry.

If you want to go the completely legal route then I would call NC agr and see what they have to say about selling in NC from SC, but if your birds are not certified AI clear then you are wasting your time talking with them.

You could sell under someone else's greencard that is there, but that is not exactly legal.

BTW: I have had a greencard for 5 years and have never once been checked.

Good news, I got my green card yesterday.

I called Thursday. The guy with NC Ag said they had gotten a lot of calls this week looking for the cards.
It took the post office over a week to get mine from NC to SC. No wonder the post office is in trouble.

When I called, NC Ag did not ask about NPIP or AI. I was afraid the NPIP/AI was the hold up on my application. It was not listed on the form and I did not write it in.
