carprofen dose for my 3.4 lb pekin- 25 mg twice a day?

Hi everyone, i was wondering if you could confirm for me the dosing on this medication. My sweet Eve who is a pekin, has re-injured I her legs laying eggs( the posturing is really hard on her congenital issues) I was told to give her 25 mg twice a day.. but somehow the vet thought i wanted a lower dose- so they wrote 12.5 mg twice a day on the bottle. I called this am to confirm it was actually 25 mg twice a day..and they said yes. However, i saw an old bottle of this medication for a previous duck who was actually on 12.5 twice a day.
Now i am worried there was soime misunderstanding and i am wrong about the 25 mg twice a day.
she is 3.40 lbs.

Can you tell me does thus dose sound correct?

Please help right away wondering if I should crush my carpet before giving it to my duck and put it in a syringe???? It's a quarter of a pill I do have empty gel capsules I could place it in so it would go down easier I'm just not sure what to do
