Three and a half weeks now! I can't believe how quickly they change with all those feathers coming in!

This is right before he/she decided flying onto my head would be a good idea.

Okay, not Seramas but seriously some of the cutest chicks I've ever seen! Bantam Cochins, 4 days old.

Here are my 3 CDS grandbabies (offspring of the pair I got from Laura's June hatch)!

The one in the middle is as small as a quail chick and scary fast! Could not get a single shot of her by herself.

I also have 2 babies from MiMi's Place--so adorable! They are a little more low-key than mine and were hanging out under the Ecoglow brooder while I was snapping pics and I didn't want to disturb them, but I will get pics soon. I don't know how you guys get such great shots of your chicks... I took probably 60 pictures and these were the only ones that turned out!

Also, I switched out trough waterers for bottle waterers. The chicks got the hang of theirs right away. Boots and Buttercup have been playing with theirs... half the water is in their cage--exactly what I was trying to prevent! I think once it's no longer a novelty it will work out better for them though.

Anyway, this has been such a great experience for me and my family and I'm so grateful that my first attempt at hatching went as well as it did. I'm going to be posting in the incubating section as well, but wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributes to this site and for sharing their knowledge with me. And thank you, Laura, for the new obsession. It'll be a life-long one

Ohhh I want cochins so bad! How cute! I love how fluffy they are. I'm thinking about incubating some eggs this spring. We'll see if I have any room at that point... I may be going on a serama incubating binge this winter!

Ok here are Carla's babies! (finally)
The lightest colored chick... looks white compared to the others:

The chipmunk chick:

Both have nice yellow legs and are friendly but mellow. They seem to be a little bit smarter than the chicks from my own eggs too... They've figured out if they keep the bead in the waterer pushed back instead of just pecking at it, they get more water!

They are so cute! Can't wait to see what colors they turn out to be!

Congrats on the Great grandbabies to be Laura.
