Here are my litte two at 4 days old. At what point can you tell what kind of feathering they will have? Obviously Romeo's baby will be smooth but I was curious if Napoleon's baby might be something other than smooth.

What cuties!!! Yep, Romeo is smooth and it looks like Napoleon's is silkied...could be silkied frizzle but definitely not smooth and definitely not full frizzle! Can't wait to see what color it turns out...I can't remember anyone hatching a yellow Napoleon baby before....

Donna, give it poly-vi-sol (no iron) vitamins, 3 drops per day for a week. Also make sure the food is small enough for it. Vitamins in the water help too. I always use them. Sometimes these little ones need extra help.

I also had a little one just like your go to Walmart get the polyvisol drops there in vitamin isle for children she was up and running around within a week I also boiled eggs for her good luck

that's right it is...sorry!!! Two yellow Napoleon babies! (can you tell I have too many chickens on my mind??? lol) I just moved Thadd's girls in with Napoleon and I'm trying to keep that straight while still trying to pair up my younger ones AND get the incubator ready for Thadd's eggs. I think I need flow charts

Starting out with 13 eggs total... 9 from Carla and 4 from Buttercup. So far the incubator is holding temp @ 99.6 and humidity @ 48%. I'm on my way

Horribly lol. Yesterday was an anxiety ridden day for Fawn, Brigette and myself. Thadd's girls were thrilled to have a rooster again but the stress on Napoleon's original girls was not worth it. I'm very big on the well being and "happiness" of my birds. I refuse to create a stressful environment just for the sake of breeding.....soooooo I am back to square one

I am, am however, bidding on two smooth roosters. I think they are very handsome, young and have great potential even though they are labeled "pet quality" (that never matters to me). One will go to Thadd's girls, the other to Giovanna, Napoleon's silkied frizzle daugther.
