My indoor/outdoor cat reached her paw into the chicken coop and injured three of our chickens. The chickens keep putting their heads out and eating the grass outside. We have done something temporary and put wood around the whole coop. They are all 5 weeks. Any ideas? (We aren’t free roaming them at the time due to the cat.)

I had more issues with my dogs than my cats with chickens in the past. I do know cats will attack chicks, chicks are toys or food in their eyes. Chicks move fast and erratically, there for enticing cats to chase and pounce.

I agree with the hardware cloth around the bottem. I am going that way to keep my cats away and to help with other grabby handed predators.
