omg, That baby lounging on the rafter! OMG what a shot, not only that but I do like that one eyed putty tat that is orange. All of them, every single one of them can be tough, funny and frustrating! But there isn't a day that goes by that I regret loving a cat.

We have nine cats, we are working on spaying and neutering

Blue Eyes(F): who does not have blue eyes

short black fur, oldest cat we have( about 10 or 11) , mother to every one but Otter

Little Cat Black JR.(M) : Second oldest (about 6 or 7) long black fur, had a strock (sp) this summer

Neutered

Magra(M): about 5 years old, long black fur (looks like LCB JR.) a love bug

Neutered

Rita(F): about 5 ( 2nd litter of the year, Magra's from the first) long black fur looks like LCB JR. and Magra. Named after a hurricane littermates where named Kitrina (SP) and Iven. Spayed

Spot and Dot(Males): 1year old Black and White, mirror twins and there littermate is Rex, Dot's a love bug

Rex(M): 1year old Grey Stripe with white paws and belly.

Otter(M): About 1 year old dumped at are house this summer, Grey Stripe, a love bug too.

Snicker(M): Turns 1 March 19, born the day my chicks arrived

Katie, 18 3/4 yrs old, longhair tortie
Tessa, 16 1/2 yrs., Siamese
Oscar, approx. 12 yrs., gray tabby/white bicolor
Pip, age 6 3/4 yrs., silver tabby (named after a character from a Sci- Fi show "Farscape"
Noneko, approx. 5 yrs., solid black ASH (Am. short hair)
Remi, approx. 5 yrs., black w/ tiny white chest spot & larger belly
spot, long & sleek body conformation, squeaky voice!
Lila, approx. 4 yrs., dilute longhair calico, a real sweetheart!
Jake, 6 mos. old, longhair gray/white, acquired as emergency
foster from a rehabber friend who kept him from being released
into traffic; was only until we could find a home, and my husband
said "bring him here...." and started this whole conversation w/
him about how life was going to be here in the house, and how
he'd have to learn to hold his own & get along with the older
crowd, and told me "I'm tired of the wuss -y girly names you give
everything -- (as in Remi, named for another Sci-Fi character
from "Sliders", the cockatiel named Taiyo which is Japanese for
Sun, the peach front conure named Pichi Pichi which is Japanese
for lively, etc....) his name is Jake". So now he's called ... ta da!

not sure if I'm posting this in the right place..
but hoping that others with cats can help me.

I have a female that was a rescue,...and feral and pregnant when she started coming around. she's been here almost a year and is pretty friendly now.
she's always had a good appetite..but lately, not so much.
she only eats little bits.
and unless she's going outside..she's constipated, but I don't know.
but she isn't using the litter pan as usual.
the last time she went..it was very loose and she had vomited her food.
she had caught a mouse the night before.
she's a very good mouser.
she does seem to be laying around sleeping more then usual...but not listless.
she does have that "belly" that might be a sign of worms.
I did try to give her wormer..(piperazine)..without much luck..
it's liquid..and I tried putting it into her food..with no luck.
also tried to syringe it into her mouth. but she wouldn't cooperate.

no change in her food.
but I did recently treat her with Sargeants Gold..at first I wondered if she could be reacting to it..but I'm not sure.
any ideas or opinions?

appreciate any help.

Sammi, will she eat raw hamburger or chicken? you could inject a small amount in the meat and give her the treated meat through the day. Make sure you premeasure it before you begin, even soak it in a small crumb of bread and wrap meat around it.
I have a cat that needs Laxair daily and it escapes the treatment and is habitually constipated. UGH.

Right now we have 3 cats. A female calico named Kashmir that is 6, a male grey tabby named Tiger that is 8 and my husband just surprised me on Monday with a male orange tabby which I named Boris. He's four months old.

We've always had alot of cats. Our largest herd was the year my daughter was born. We had 11. Unfortuantely that was the summer we lost 5. One died of old age, one was hit by the neighbor's car and three were poisoned. We beleive that one of the neighbor's had rat poison out and either the cats ate mice that ate the poison or the cats ate the poison. By the time we found them, it was too late to save them. The neighbor behind us also lost a cat from this.

This past year our Siamese died from cancer and my cat of 15 yrs died of old age.

I'd never want to go back to having 11 cats again. It was alot of work to keep the house clean and creepy at times because there was always a pair of eyes following you. Yet, for a few months here, we've only had two cats and that felt weird. Three seems to be a good number for us.
