Such cute stories, I love to hear about cats and chickens getting along. My 5 cats pretty much ignore the chickens and ducks, haven't so much as chased a bird as far as I know. The dogs, on the other hand... lets just say only the itty bitty dog is allowed outside with the birds.

When my chicks were little and living in a dog crate in the back room, my two house cats spent hours watching them through the wire on top. Occasionally they would get on top of the crate and we caught them a few times with their paws stretched into it. The chicks are now grown and free-range for a while everyday. The outside cats, both tame and wild, have shown virtually no interest in the birds. They will sometimes come eye-to-eye but issues seem get resolved without a hiss or a squawk.
