This is Drake my domestic shorthair. I think he probably has Siamese in him because he is such a talker. He asks for food, asks for attention, tells me when he is going to the bathroom. He recently has been diagnosed with thyroid problems and will have to take meds for the rest of his life. Luckily the condition was caught early and his kidney function has not been affected.... I love my Drake.

Thanks all for the input and advice offered on why my cat suddenly started that behavior.

Reading them, it does make sense that maybe he is glad his human is up and giving a greeting or anxious to get the day's (full) attention on him started, lol. (He does this in the morning after being velcro'd to me ALL night...maybe he doesn't want me to get up, lol.)

We have a brown tabby named Momo. She's gorgeous and fluffy, but still considered shorthair. We had her and her sister for about 4 years now. We rescued them along with their mother after they had been dumped near a river and were all sick with colds.

We recently gave her sister, Megumi, to my in-laws b/c I am extremely allergic to cats, and she wouldn't stay out of my bed, plus she seemed to need more attention than we could give her. Momo spends most of her time outside, so she's fine. Megumi is very happy with my in-laws and their giant red tabby male and reclusive dark traditional Siamese.

And I'm happy b/c Momo only blesses us with her presence in my room occasionally, not every night, so I can breathe.

my cat's name is Leah. she is the strangest cat i've ever known she was born on the streets, raised by my rabbit and has been defeated by various mice and chipmunks. the only thing she's good at hunting are snakes, moles and bugs which, the majority of my household agrees, don't need hunting. her favorite food is cantalope. yes, cantalope. she likes flies too. her favorite sleeping spot is on my pillow wrapped around my head like a turban, or one a ledge of some sort hanging with her head and front paws dangling over the edge. she is terrified of my litter of baby mice and of the chicks and adult chickens. she hates little dogs but loves big ones. her favorite game is to jump on and tackle my rabbit to the ground, then jump up and run when he tries to bite or scratch her back (they actually get along very well at other times and groom and sleep next to each other, she's like his little sister lol! ). here are some pics of her:

A chance to brag about my Cooper cat and learn why he is such a cat?! Sign me up!
lol.png
I got Cooper Cat 3 years ago for my birtday from my mom. I saw him at the pound when I went to look for my husband's dog. We never found the dog but we did find this poor sad kitty all alone in one of the HUGE cages. The only thing I noticed about him was that he was all alone and really sad

I didn't notice his ears until the volunteer told me he isn't a very common cat. When we went to go get him neutered the vet tech told us her mom used to breed cats like him. Scottish fold/Siamese and sell them for $600-$700 each!!!

And I got him for $65 adoption fee at the local shelter. He is my fat cat and I love him
smile.png
He knows not to chase the chickens, ducks, ducklings, or chicks but he does loooove his rats, mice and cottontails. He sleeps all day long either on my side of the bed or in the bath tub

I do love my Cooper Cat

Cooper 2 days after I got him. He was really skinny and malnourished from being out on his own at such a little age

And about a year ago, after he got in trouble for getting into the plastic bags and fighting with them. He got in trouble and I found a safer place for them and haven't had another incident since, much to his dismay
