Caught on camera

The problem with lama and donkey are that the will sometimes kill the new born goats so I don't want to take that chance.
CT I agree he is beautiful we really regret that we have to do that but they will also attack your small dogs and cats and I have a small grandson so I will not take any chance. Right now everything is going on lock down. They will only be out under close supervision. Because the coyote has come up at least once during the day so he is too brave. Trapping and release will only make he someone else problem we where not raised that way.

Coyotes can and do roam Portland, even in the most urbanized areas. They just aren't seen. I was shocked when I first heard about it, but they are very adaptable animals (like raccoons).

I just moved to a more rural/wooded area a few weeks ago. 2 nights now I have heard a pack of coyotes howling, it's a very disconcerting sound. Good luck with your hunt.

He is huge..

When they get that close during the night.. they will eventually come during the day or in the early evening. Now that winter is coming and they might not find enough food in the winter.. they are very opportunistic..

Get rid of it.. and soon..
If he isnt a lone male.. he has a den somewhere with a female and possibly young ones .. maybe not now but later he will..

You going to keep the pelt ?

Yeah, they are really making a come back around here. Folks here are having lots of trouble with them. I have yet to see one, but I can hear them in the distance.

Oh too bad he's a gorgeous boy. I think the best would be get a Great Pyr. Our little Boston Terrier chases off coyotees in our yard now they don't even come around abit skiddish.

While sitting in class at the University of Miami in the middle of downtown Coral Gables what did I see - a gorgeous red fox strutting across campus like he owned the place (or was looking for pigeons)!

That picture would provide me with the excuse to buy a night scope and rifle and stay up at night....last night it could have been all your chickens, the next night the goat and so on.
