Cayuga crosses already turning white!

They're two and a third (ish) years old and already the females are starting to turn white (slowly). One on her head and neck is getting the white peppering, another is getting extra white wing feathers... others are showing more on their chests and bellies! They're crossed with pekin.

I thought they were only supposed to start turning when they get old? Should I start calling them old ladies now?
