Cayuga Duck Club!

Today was a beautiful day so I went out and spent some time with the animals. We've been cooped up in the house forever with the nasty weather we've been having. The cayuga with the green ankle tag is KK, the blue tag is Magenta, the orange tag is Blackberry, and the pink is my favorite Sweat Pea. The male is Skipper.

What great pictures and beautiful ducks!!

That’s awesome Angela! Is this one days haul? Mine JUST started this week. I’m excited.
I usually get two or three a day. I have four ducks. That one we talked about months ago is not laying any eggs, sounds like drake with really low voice, but has no drake feather. Any idea why they are making nests? I finally just let her have her way and left her eggs alone. She is taking the other ducks eggs as well.

That is just their nature. Nothing wrong with it at all. I let mine make nests because it’s a lot easier to find them than when they just plop them out wherever they are standing. If you want, leave one in a nest so they lay in the same spot everyday or pick them up daily. If you have a drake does he hop on top of the girls? He’s probably the boss too. You could always leave them in the nest and see if one will sit on them and hatch some out.
