CBDs from hemp?

There’s huge money in hemp especially processed oil. There’s no set standard yet. I’m a huge fan and the creams work wonders on my broken body. The oils help tremendously with pain. There is no THC in hemp. But try and tell that to teenagers who see the fields. We have one grower here. Who’s upstart is selling starter plants. For someone with chronic pain and does not like drugs CBD is a godsend. Even though marijuana is legal here I just don’t like it.
To use topically as a pain relief on a chicken I could see that but at close to 40$ for a one oz bottle it’s pricey.

Hemp does contain trace amounts of THC. The legal limit in most states is 0.3%. There are some formulations which remove the THC.
I'm not looking for pain relief for her, I'm looking to calm her down. It's just temporary. If I could find an effective non-pharmaceutical option for under 3$USD a dose, it would be worth to us.

UPDATE: The CBDs may have worked on the pain, but it did not calm her down. And 12 days later, Dolly still wants to start a fight with Loretta.

Maybe put a bit of rescue remedy in their water and it will calm everyone down.

Have you tried just letting them try sort it out between them? I've a vicious bunch, but if I supervise and intervene once blood is drawn, let them relax (for a day) then go again, it can work. One will always be bottom rung i.e. last to eat, last to roost etc, but most times they sort it out to a point where they don't need to fight anymore.

That definitely works for dogs and cats. I'm in the hemp industry, I love it for people and four-leggeds! But chickens are different.
