Is there any harm in putting a cedar tree stump in the chicken run?

aromatic cedar can cause respiratory problems in birds, that said, how old is the stump? Does it smell like cedar? If not, then its probably ok. I have dozens of cedar stumps in their pasture (from clearing the pasture) and they have not caused any issues. I won't grind them down until they are out of that pasture though. Is there any harm in putting a cedar tree stump in the chicken run?

Thanks. I trust @Ol Grey Mare ! I tend to be overly cautious. In the open air of a run, no, even fresh would pose no risk to otherwise healthy birds
