If your friend is bringing mottled cochins, I would be interested in a young pullet 3-5 weeks old, I have a blind Orp baby

and she needs a sweet, quiet pal for a pen mate..

I have a little 4-5 weeks old barred/mottled cochin bantam pullet that is spraddle-legged. I just didn't have the heart to put her down. She get around in the brooder just fine...she can walk upright...just kinda' like she's pushing off on snow ski's. She eats and drinks great and would probably be a wonderful sister. It would mean that you would have 2 special needs babies, though. Would you consider taking her? I would gladly give her to you.

That will be cute, the blind leading the broken or is it the other way round??

Sure I'll take her..

OH, thanks so much BluRoo...She is just a sweet heart. I hatched her along with 2 other...both turned out to be cockerels, of course. They chest bump, play fight and generally make a nuisance of themselves and drive her crazy. I think a quieter sister would be so much better for her. I'll bring her with me Saturday!

But of course I mean KYI's=Key West Island Chickens. I will put it this way if I can catch some of them out of the yard I will bring some. They are neat but REALLY fast! Only the Samatras match them in speed@! You really want me to kill myself catchin chickens on Wednesday!LOL:lol: Naw I will try to catch some up. I have some that are 1/2 grown now. They were hatched out here but the mom & dad are really pretty--The roo is black w/ a little splash of gold on each wing & she is a buff redish color. Really pretty@! Those I know whos w/who. The other pullets I am not sure which is the roo & which is the hen. But I will see what I can do. No pics please!
