EGGS:I will have black & blue copper marans, Cuckoo Marans, Golden Cuckoo Marans, BIRCHEN Marans, and possibly wheaten marans. I will also have Serama & Sizzle eggs.

If anyone is interested in BBR-oegb eggs, I can make sure I have a dozen as she lays every day...but they will have to go in the bator immediately as they will be a bit over 10 days old (only 1 girl...and her eggs have NEVER failed me at hatching).

I also MAY Pure BLACK Marans eggs.

Will you still have Birchen Marans eggs and or Golden Cuckoo Marans eggs? If so how much? Do you have pics??

MY BIRCHENS STOPPED LAYING!! Ugh. As far as GCMs go, I have a cuckoo & a bcm male on my 3 cuckoo girls. They are all laying and they are w/ my blues who are also laying. Right now, their eggs are pretty similar in color. TOTALLY obvious whose was whose at the beginning of their lay cycle! I can't tell whose is whose, so selling them as mixed.

I have pics of the parents...will post soon.

Second- I have left them 4 weeks and I have left them 6 weeks. 6 weeks was CLEARLY too long as the Mama was already laying eggs a few days before I pulled them! I didn't have the room, or I would have pulled them earlier. But, I have heard of people separating right after and a couple of weeks after. I like to see how the bond is helping/hindering the chicks. In the case of my 6 weeks, they were very active and learning to forage and taking dust baths at 2 days old.

Hopefully that kinda answers both your questions

I leave my chicks with the broodies until they're causing problems or I sell them. I had a couple that would still sleep in the nest with mama when she started sitting again.
