I dont know a silkie sittin on eggs as big as Seb. eggs it might actually be funny. But if you actually go to sell them let me or chickenzoo know we maybe interested. I am getting some from Eustis so another bloodline will be warrented.

I don't know if I'll be able to make this one - I'm working the night before and the night of the meet, so it would be a stretch.

That's the week my turkey poults will get here, too.

There's been some significant upheaval at home, so I don't know if I could even get away. But we'll see.

Chickenzoo!!!!! How are the chicks doing? I am asking cause this is important.
The 4th chick, the one I decided to keep, has been ruffled up, standing under the heat lamp, not real hungry but eating, and must be drinking. There are no other symptoms. There are no new birds that they have had contact with. No runny nose or eyes. She sleeps alot. The other 3 are fine.
After alot of reading, I decided to put them on stuff for coccidiosis, even tho there's no blood in the stool. I read that sometimes there's not. I have never had a chicken here who had it, and I have never used medicated feed. It could also be just a weak chick, but she is gaining weight.
I want you to know just in case.

The only newbie was 2 months ago, that white silkie who gave my roo the sniffles. But she has never been with the chicks. But judging from the sniffles, you just never know.

It's probably coccidia. Just make sure they're on medication and hopefully she'll pull through. If it seems respiratory it may be Aspergillosis, which is always in the environment, but about 5% of chicks just can't cope with it.

Hi, I started the chicks on sulfa something for cocci. I've never had chickens with it and there's no bloody stool. She eats and drinks. Mostly she stands by herself and closes her eyes alot.
I'm hoping I see improvement tomorrow.

Can they get cocci just out of the blue?
