I have been looking for white Chanteclers since this thread began, and find it nearly impossible to locate any other than Sandhills. FINALLY, today I did make contact with someone that has 3 strains. I just might get some yet!

There is a canadian that is taking orders for birds. He is haandleing all the paperwork and delivering to the Chantecler National in Michigan. All the info is on the official CFI forum. You might check there.

I have checked there several times. I can not get in to most of the pages, as I am not a member. I have not seen the article you refer to.

Go to the United Orpington Club forum. Then click general. Scroll down to the Chantecler (CFI) link. It will be there.

But , again , non-members cannot use the link for the forum .

The last post here has information:

I got this email from him... (and another from Mike Gilbert, secretary
Chantecler Fanciers International, and another below that....)

Hi Kathy,

I should have some next Spring as I currently have 2 American lines
and am headed to Frankenmuth MI tomorrow to pick up trios from three
Canadian lines so I will have a good foundation for breeding and
preserving this great Bird.

In the meantime, so you can maintain contact I suggest:

and:

From this point on, we will continue our information on WHITE
Chanteclers on a "page" found by searching Facebook for "Fayrehale
Chanteclers". Click the "like" button so you are kept up to date on
our progress and know what chicks are available in 2011.

we are working on a web page.

Thanks for contacting me

Jim

Hi Kathy,
Have you tried Sandhill Preservation in Iowa? They sell White Chantecler chicks in season. They are the only available source right now as far as I know. One of our members is bringing a truckload of White Chanteclers to our national meet in Michigan this weekend, and is selling trios at $100 each. However, the birds he is bringing are presold, and I'm not sure if he will have any left at this point. Let me know if you want to try to contact him, and I would send you his phone number. Thanks for writing.

Mike Gilbert, secretary
Chantecler Fanciers International

Hi Kathy,

As you probably already know, White Chantecler large fowl are hard to find. I haven't seen any at the shows I've attended so far this year. I have a few that are Sand Hill Preservation Center stock. I could possibly sell one or two pairs.

The Chantecler National meet is going to be at Frankenmuth, Michigan this coming weekend. There may be some Whites available there or I could bring some to sell if you were going to be there.

Let me know if you plan to be there.

I will also be at the show in Kentucky later this month and at the Columbus, Ohio show in November. If I have any left we could meet at one of those shows.

Good luck on your search for White Chanteclers.

I just wanted to post some pics of the new members of my buff Chantecler flock...a new cockerel and 2 pullets. I am so happy and excited about them.

The ladies are from Wisconsin and the cockerel is from South Dakota. Now I can seriously get to work on my flock.
