Chantecler Thread!

I see so may different looking younger Partridge Chantecler's on all websites/forums. My girls/guys all look so different, I find some pictures look more like Welsummer's (I have some of those too) way more than they look like Partridge Chantecler. Mine are about 12 weeks old, a few of them have feathered feet. I think they are gorgeous - but they don't look like other Partridge Chantecler? I kid you not, these picture's don't do justice to how colorful these chickens are - it's stunning really, don't you think? I have some others mixed in with the PC's...
This pic my words directly under! The 2 dark birds so cute will you have eggs next year? Specifically those 2 birds. Those colors are nice. I mean those 2 exact color of that breed and of the best specimens you have of those things- black ones

Remember when I was sold "Partridge Chantecler's" way back in a post...then it was suggested I had Partridge Brahma's, well now that they are 4.5 months old, I've been told I have Auburn Java's - what do you think? They have cushion combs and 2 out of the 4 have feathered feet. They are all brothers...I'd really like to know what they are?

I don't see a single cushion comb. You have peas and one single comb. I would say Partridge Brahma is the closest guess (but they are lacking bulk), but honestly it looks like you have some mutts. The only one that resembles a Java is the single combed, clean legged cockerel. But, those are so rare that the odds are you have a barnyard mix.

Hi Mariva, yes the one on the right is my Bryngyld Ameraucana Cockerel and the one on the left is a Black Copper Marans Cockerel. I am breeding them both and will have new chicks and fertilized eggs next year. I'm working on a breed that does best in my area with hot summers and cold winters - that are great layers as well as tasting!

Ok which of my posts did you reply this?

Even though am not sure I will be moved then can you put me on waiting list?

Are their eggs dark? Are they from greenfire farms?(what do you think of greenfire marans?)

I would like some of the one on farthest right one on farthest left and can I get them from different lines so they can breed?

Also what are prices? Great cold winters here too can you feed these no grains? Worms and bugs Ect.?

I don't see a single Chantecler in the lot. Not sure why they were posted here? Javas and Marans have single combs. Some of those birds have pea combs;
if there is an Ameraucana it is not in a recognized color variety.

The original picture in question "Chantecler7" was if there was any Partridge Chantecler's in the bunch or even mixed breeds as a few were sold to me as Chantecler Chicks...therefore it was in this thread.
