My first buff chicks of the year have hatched!

I had forgotten how darn cute those little buff fluffy butts are.

Who did you get her from? Whose line is it?

I hatched her from eggs purchased from an individual through BYC forums, they are reportedly from stock purchased from Blehm in Michigan.

I would say you have a Partridge/Buff cross. She looks just like mine. Several are using this cross to improve the Buff. Sadly, some are not honest in shipping eggs. this should have been made known before you bought the eggs. Just mate her to a buff male and you may regain Buff in the offspring. Don't think i would use her with Partridge.

Poor little things...they were all cuddled up sleeping (which is where I should be LOL), so I only pulled out 2 of them to take a pic.

It is possible a hen jumped a fence and got caught by a Buff rooster before she got back home.

Well, when you put it that way...

Is it possible that there was some buff in the ancestry that the seller wouldn't have been aware of? I mean, we don't really know what goes into the creation of different lines, do we? So that oddities can pop out.
