Charcoal W/E Peacock

correct you are.......... w.e do have white flights that slip my chemo mind....good catch Jeanna

its the w.e. not split pied that shows the white flights

glad you caught that...here...:hugs ............

No problem :hugs.. Back at ya!

Okay I will say he carries a pied gene from his father and from his mother. Is he a pied? I don't know, he might be. I would LOVE to see a picture of this boy. PLEASE post a picture Randy!!! I am dying to see him!!!

That would be a extra if he is dark pied...mother split pied he could be. Like to follow and see what he produces.

Jeanna do you know it there are any whites from that pair of yours........i hatch two white from my charcoal split pied, but sold them local....darn i had some great mates for this birds..

its early he is only 2 yr but i see him producing some charcoal silver pieds in the future.

Oh Randy save any white chicks you get from him. same for you Jeanna.

I made the mistake i sold my whites ,which was either a split charcoal or a white(charcoal)

Okay,,finally got a few of him,,he sure wasn't as friendly tonight when I had to catch him,as he was when he was younger,,all that "bonding" time wasted,,he acts like he never seen me before, but then settled right down for the photo ops.Heres the first one we got

WOW SUPER NICE........i see he has the white throat patch.....my guess you got a w.e. charcoal dark pied. only breeding will tell for sure....if you put a white hen in with him....if he is dark pied all her chicks 100% will be pied or course split charcoal. be a good test just to see if he his dark pied....if you get and white chick from a white hen...then he is split white.
myself i would try a white hen with him also keep the silver pied hens....trick i use is cage her every day about 5 pm (peahen lay late) that way you are sure they are her eggs..after she start laying you only need to pen her on the day she will lay....ever other day

What about the charcoal w/e I got from you deerman? I bred him to your IB split to charcoal hen and got 4 whites, 3 charcoal (1 male for sure), some pieds and a couple IB w/e. One or more of the whites could be a charcoal male?
