Just a thought, that is how my DH does the front ditch here, because too much to pull the mower up all the time. But, weedeating is a lot of work too, he always ends up with his hands tingling for an hour after.....

Mine too. Can't hold the beer can steady at first!!!

My 15 yo out there helping Mom.....she is pounding the wire staples to make sure they are secure. I don't have enough strength in my hands to hold the stapler good enough to get them in all the way, so she has been going along behind me with the hammer.
I can't believe that I have done this much in about a week or 10 days!!!! I am happy!!!!!

Nice pen. But you think you can make the pics any smaller.

one of my d'uccles is missing....

I guess it got out through the 2x3 wire at the top of the duck pen.

I had put palm leaves on there, but I guess it got out anyway...
DH is out there looking for it, but I know that chicken is a goner........

I am so stupid- this is totally my fault

When we first started volunteering at the sanctuary there was a big Kubota field mower that we were using to cut the grass there. Made quick work of the grass, and I used to cut the front ditch with it. Talk about lots of fun!! You just have to get used to riding at an angle, that's all- I used to think it would tip over, but I had a blast mowing the ditch on that thing

My DH told me that he did not want me cutting the ditch because it is very deep and it could tip over and we live on a main busy hwy and he said he has had people come off the hwy right at him cutting the ditch! So I leave the ditch for him....

When mine got out they stayed right at the corner of the pen trying to get back in.

LOL, I guess not...?!? She is very pretty!!
I don't have one....But I do have 2 silver sebrights that look very similar.........

haha, I always get SLW and Sebright chicks mixed up! They do look similar. I have had people ask before if a Sebright ( not knowing the breed ) is a bantam SLW.lol.

Why has all our poultry decided to run away.lol. Over in the Aus thread 4 people in the last 2 weeks have lost at least one flock member, what is going on!!!

Wow Luke, makes you wonder, huh....'reckon it has anything to do with the unsettled weather?? Was hoping your duckie girl would be back by now...she has a mate too, doesn't she? How is that one holding up?
