Tonight I went to check on my birds and bring in the gallon jugs to put back in the freezer for tomorrow and found one of my slate blue turkey dragging one of her wings.
I saw her flying in the run earlier and she had to of hit something and broke it. I came in to get DH to help me with her. I looked for bandage tape and do not have any. So we made a sling for tonight. Tomorrow DH will bring me some bandage tape and some popsicle sticks to wrap it up good. But at least for tonight hopefully it won't get worse before I can wrap it up!

Vet wrap is the absolute best for that, I always use it for angel wing, injuries, ect. You can get it at petco or feed stores but they usually sell it in the horse section. Good luck and keep us posted!

Wow Luke, makes you wonder, huh....'reckon it has anything to do with the unsettled weather?? Was hoping your duckie girl would be back by now...she has a mate too, doesn't she? How is that one holding up?

Yeah, maybe their is something in the air.
Yeah, well they are sisters and always call out to each other, Gemima seems fine, she makes her own way into the chicken roost at night now, before I had to catch her and put her in there. I defiantly think ducks are smarter than chickens.lol.

I want to say Thanks to all of you for the kind words regarding my chicken- I have bad news, I did find her...........floating in the ducky pond this morning

But, at least I know now what has become of her, and will not be standing around lookng for her to come back all day

You know, I really do appreciate you guys!
I am very thankful to have somewhere to go to talk with people. I am stuck at home all the time, and sometimes I go stir crazy. Then when I do get out, It is always only centered around doing stuff for the household. This is the only place I can be ME and really just relax and have a little fun.

Did ya get that lawn mowed? I am going to do that this morning, because i almost can't get to the pen to do anymore work. With all this rain we have had, water in the ditches on both sides of the property, I am worried about encountering a moccasin!
Do you guys have them there?
