OK, GOOD MORNING Everyone!!!! Hope all have a terrific day!!!

Did I post that I have chickens in those pens yet? Well, I got the chickens in the pens now.....LOL
I am anxiously awaiting the popping out of my broody's brood!!!! Today is day 18 or 19, and they are all bantams except one.........hoping for an early start

Gosh, looks like everyone has been so busy these last few weeks, none of us have time for fun anymore.......such is the way with good weather

I miss everyone!! I have been so busy myself, too.

Good morning everyone! I have not been posting much lately either, sorry!
I have a State AG guy coming out Monday to do my NPIP Testing and give me a hatchery permit! I am keeping my finger crossed that my birds will all be ok!

Morning....yawn, sigh.... hoping my little niece (9yo) doesn't wear me out today

Alaskan, think we've finally found a lady who can sit with the house, dog, chickens...

She lives 2 miles away, raised on a farm, trains medical dogs she (the lady) has hx of mild seizures years ago...loves chickens...lives on very fixed income, in her early 60's (within weeks of being same age as DH). She's a little bitty thing, 90 pounds soaking wet, one of DH's physical therapy patients, she's had a rough life. She will be another one of his patients we will "find ways to make life a little easier for her".

It pays to help other's, even in the smallest ways, usually comes back to you somewhere down the line. Chicken folks know this to be true!

(Chicknfun, glad to know goodness has found it's way to you again, all those building supplies and lovely pens, you deserve it Lady! Alot of hard work but so proud for you!

...........We all met last night, dogs did great, gotta train her (the lady) though on how to manage our birds etc. (haha-my way).

DH is sooo happy 'cause I told him I just could not leave everything behind without knowing someone would/could be here while we're gone. Kinda got into a micro argument since everything's now paid for and booked. Sweating out, I tell 'ya. Still have to work hard on just leaving it though...

Mom and Pop's could stay over on weekends, but that left alot of days with noone during the week. (Pop's heart has kept them in MD office/ER for the last 2 months. He's stabilized now, but.....like Mom said, it's hard to know for certain, and it's a 90 minute trip 1 way during summer beach/vacation traffic. Alot of time on the road for them to go back and forth, etc.

Anyway, want to go and have a great time with DH, he deserves it!
Apologize for rambling about my personal business, but hope ya'll will understand.

Chirp I hope you and DH have a wonderful time in Alaska! And everything will be well cared for with all your animals while your gone!
Stress will cause conflicts, just remember why your going! lol And have loads of fun! Maybe your mom could just call and check on things for you, just incase she needs a question answered or something?

Yes, I'm sure I'll be burning up the phone lines with Mom and Vicky, the lady helping us out. $$$$ Need to see if Alaskan has any communication tips on cell phone/wifi stuff. I'm so not techy equipped/minded...

It's like leaving everything I know, but something I said I would do with DH, travel as much as we could. He was quite the world traveler, in his younger days....Rugby and family all over the states...country....
