Chat room for non religious poultry keepers! :D

Was sort of scared the thread went inactive again. Pleaded to find out that wasn't the case, although I don't know if my brain enjoyed it. The "Bless you" in Greek is γείτσες. It'll be way to hard to even try to explain how you pronounce that, so here is a link https://www.babla.gr/ελληνικα-αγγλικα/γείτσες

Yeah, we've kept pretty active here, despite a couple bumps along the way.

It almost sounds like whoever recorded the pronunciation was sneezing when they recorded it 😳

I like both lol but I like the original better

I probably would not have minded the remake nearly as much if they hadn't been so set and firm that their animals, in a movie about lions in a distinctly human-like royal hierarchy with other animals participating as part of the royal structure, had to be so hyper-realistic to the point of being robotic, soulless, and, quite frankly, boring to watch. Seriously, it would not have killed them to give their characters the tiniest bit of expressiveness!

I also really hated some of the casting choices, but that's more personal taste. Actually, strike that, it was just one casting choice that I really hated and the rest I was mostly indifferent about.

Needless to say, I have some opinions about these movies. 😅

I’ve never read the source material so for me I still love it  🤣 I do find it sad that they messed it up though and that he quit because of it. And there were definitely parts I didn’t like. I’m going to give the new actor a chance though. But I have a friend who is not because they say the original actor made the show and it will not be the same at all. Probably true but I need to see what happens lol

Who's the new one?

You know what, it kind of does. But we don't put as much emphasis on the "ee"

Okay fair enough lol

Today is a bittersweet day. The matriarch of the main flock passed away. She was almost 4 years old, relatively old for an ISA brown. This bird has been with us for almost half of our chicken keeping life, and has met birds that have met my very first. This is the end of a chapter, although I'm not heartbroken. She will be missed

I haven't seen any of the Disney monstrosities. I'm actually very anti-Disney for the most part. They've lost their way, and they've ruined so many fairy tales. I *LIKED* the gruesome and morbid endings of the originals! :lau

My dad's the same way. Personally, they make good background noise that I don't have to think about and I don't watch the fairytale-inspired ones for the most part anyway. 🤷‍♀️

Was it Seth Rogen? 😂

Was that obvious? 🤭 I genuinely cannot stand him in anything and I despised his version of Pumbaa.

Ahhh, okay, that would take a lot of the sneeze out of it! 🤭
