Oooh, sounds pretty! Any pictures of her?

All of my mixes are either Easter-eggers, so all over the place, or have pretty tame colorations. But one of my mixes could pass for a hatchery-quality Partridge Silkie even though she's actually half Silkie and half silkied Cochin.

Yup, exactly. Sometimes the more subtle is the most beautiful. I agree, silver duckwings are very pretty. I've heard that a lot about the white. Personally, I dislike a white bird with red leakage way more than I do a white bird. What I don't love as a colour is lavender, especially on the Orpingtons. I do have a colour that I don't like at all, but I can't remember it right now to be honest

I'll try to grab one today or tomorrow

With solid white plumage, interestingly enough, I've found that I actually don't mind it if the bird has slate legs that are not feathered so you can actually see the slate color on them. I don't like it with white or yellow shanks. I guess my eyes just want a little more contrast on my birds. Then again, solid black doesn't bother me like that, so maybe that's not why. 🤔

I don't necessarily disagree on the Lavender Orpingtons, but for me it's primarily because a lot of them here have that awful feather shredding that's associated with the lavender gene. But I did really love the one I had while she was still with me. She was the absolute sweetest bird. :love

I loved my lavender

You have some really really pretty ones. Can't remember his name, but I distinctly remember one boy. Funny enough, I think he was a white with some kind of leakage
I do have one thats stuck around though for a bit that's a white/cream with gold leakage. He isn't staying as far as I'm aware, but he's probably been in a pic or three
