Chat Thread for the New Crazy 24 hour Auction

hey, you can just tell me where to meet you at this week and I'll test fertility for you

Would hate to see you have to set eggs just for fertility testing

Ditto

And since I live so far away from you, why don't I give you my mailing address so I can check your fertility on shipped eggs...

Yeah?

Lol :p

You guys have me in tears here because of your kind, selfless offers to help me out.

I do appreciate the thought, but my original group of Silverudd's Blue laid their first egg of the season yesterday, so it is time to fire up the bator anyway. And since a single chick would be so lonely, I have to make sure there are enough eggs in the incubator that at least a few hatch. I have to fill it up, right?

sounds like an excuse to me :lau Always must completely fill the incubator!

Would there be any interest in sex linked naked neck easter eggers? Might have some of those available in the next week or so.

Yes please!!!!! I need to wait for March though, the post office here froze my dozen hatching eggs last time, just can't trust them this time of year. PLEASE reserve me a dozen or so for March!

I did put eggs in to test, but when I took them out for the first candle, they seemed rather cool and I found out one of my Brinseas died.

The second one seems to be working well and fertility is now well confirmed!

However, that last blast of cold weather slowed the girls down a bit. Hopefully they will pick up again soon so I can put together an interesting package. Also, I forgot to mention that all of my Svarthöna have the possibility of carrying the woolly gene. So, to make up a nice package, I could also include some pure Svarthöna eggs from my pen that is covered by 2 woolly cockerels.

@Gardenwren

My eggs arrived today from Gardenwren! All appear in fantastic shape. Will let them sit and settle for 24 hours then candle and place in my incubator. I'm so excited!!!
