Awww!!!

I see a black, a Lav, a white and the darker of the lighter ones will either be white or a washed out lavender/smutty white... it's something odd that has been cropping up out of the recessive white carriers I have...
Don't see Legbar mix, but after thinking about it I'm not sure if there will be a difference to tell until they're older... it would only be the black, and if it is a cross then it's a pullet...

Only 5? I'm sorry...

The 2 lighter ones both have some lavender in them (the flash washes them out), one more and darker than the other. Thanks for the offer, but I just loaded up the remainder of my incubator space! Lol! At least until the Easter Hatch along!

Yeah, the recessive whites chick down looks like it's tipped in lavender... the slightly darker one I've grown out 2 of those already and they look like lavender and white mixed, it's a smutty color... but the lightest one will be pure white, could show some black flecks or not, but white...

Eta: just let me know when you're bator is empty if you want more... as long as they're laying it's no prob... oh, but the Marans I have sold...

I always have mixed feelings about winning auctions, because I know how hard we all work to care for and breed beautiful birds. The monetary rewards are never equal to the sacrifice that we daily pour into our work. CJWaldon is a wonderful example of this dedication and I feel honored to be able to carry on even a small part of her work over here in N. California. Thank you for making this beautiful breed accessible to a little farm like mine. :yiipchick

I know what you mean. It would be nice to find a way to make a little something from them, but after all these years I've yet to figure that out..lol.
I'm happy for you....even though I kinda wish I'd have remembered the auction..haha.

cj is great to work with! I hatched some of her 55's and Isabelle Leghorns from eggs. I'm reasonably sure I ended up with a trio of the 55's, from what I can tell so far with my nonexistent sexing experience of 55's.

I'm excited about both breeds I got from her. I've added several breeds this year, but hers are at the top of the favorites list.
