I can smell a rotten egg (hopefully only one) in the Hovabator. How do I find out which one it is without risking an egg exploding in my face?

I always just started sniffing eggs. Lol. Sometimes rotting eggs change color or you can candle them and they candle all black, that is unless your far into incubation.

I don't think so. The one I have is pretty old. I just went to the GQF site to see which model it is, and I guess they don't make it any more. Just a plain wafer styro incubator with two small windows and a fan.

I have had a few stinkers start weeping liquid out

I would candle them in tray. I just had one explode... I had dropped it but I thought it was okay. I was very wrong. I checked the others, but didn't pull them from the trays.

I'm going to be setting some in a few days so I can see how they'll do.

If I could convince my wife to let me process....quail seems like the best choice for meat birds. She gets too attached. I have gave
15-20 birds away "free to a loving home" on craigslist. She wont let me process....yet
