Ahh, the struggles of money. But one can agree that anything is worth it if you do it for what you love, right? The reason I was asking is because I plan on soon getting some Black Swedish ducklings, I want to keep them as pets. This is quite helpful, so thanks!

If you are in the states, go to your local dollar general and pick up pallets by the dumpster. You could make your entire house and pen for the cost of nails and hinges.

Where I am nothing cheap can last against predators. My poultry shed cost me €1300

I totally would, trouble is I live on an island where it's hard to find stuff like that. I'd have to go off the island (boat fare is $20 each trip) and that can get expensive.
