We are thrilled with the way our coop came out. There are a few things we would change but all in all, very happy! The chicks love it too!!

Adorable coop! Your DH did an awesome job! The only thing I would do is add some 1/2" x 1/2" hardware cloth around the bottom so that a coon can't reach through and grab a chicken and wring its neck! If you have a lot of coons, chicken wire is not strong enough to keep them out if they want in badly enough.

I bet your kids are just loving it.

I like that clear roof! What's your latitude, BTW? We're at 40 degrees North, just enough so that around Christmas, we go to work in the dark and come home in the dark.
