This is Honey. She is 20 weeks old today and an absolute sweetheart

She also lays GIANT palm-sized "ostrich" eggs as we call them. Do comb and wattle size have anything to do with egg size??

That is a BEAUTIFUL Delaware Hen. I have one with a huge comb like that, and she doesnt lay too large of an egg, so I dont think it has anything to do with it. If you hold her and feel the space between her pubic bone, it would be large if she lays a large egg. I dont think the comb has anything to do with it:p

She is beautiful!!!!! And posing for her glamour shots....

I've never heard that comb/wattle size have anything to do with egg size. I only "know" that firs eggs are mostly smaller and as the hen ages eggs get bigger but frequency less....But I don't think chickens read the textbooks all that much....everyone is different

OMG she's stunning! Can't help with your question but now you've caused me to think maybe 5 new chicks isn't enough....maybe I could add just one more breed to my selection.
