We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.

Hi all!
It’s been super busy lately. We now have 8 chickens and have expanded our garden to include fruit trees and more perennial crops like asparagus, rhubarb, more strawberries etc. We are also expanding our family as we have a little girl on the way in August. Never a dull moment around here lol

There was no text, because I couldn’t find where to type.
So, I bought 5 young d’uccles at an auction in Jan., not knowing what their breed was, age or sex. One month later 2 started laying eggs! They all started laying within the next month, so I was elated because I can’t have any additional roosters. One of them just hatched 2 chicks last night.
