After a neighbors dog killed 19 chickens in 5 hours about 2 yrs ago, I quit chickens for awhile. My partner brought home 4 laying hens,Then a full grown rooster, then 3 more chicks, I'm back in chickens again.

I am sorry that you lost the first flock!

Dogs can be terrible predators.

Hello everyone

I missed posting on these forums. So grateful it seems to still be active.

Can't wait to join the conversation again.

I haven't raised chickens in a while but I plan to get back into it in the next couple years.

My favorite breed is Ameraucana.

My interests include coop design and plumage genetics.

Yeah I and another one they got really busy. I’m raising some baby chicks now. Two birthdates 2 babies just yesterday and one two weeks ago 5 babies.

Lol! My flock is purely imaginary. They are quite lovely!! (One day I'll have chickens again)
