Checking the cows today

We were out checking the cows late this afternoon. I took some pictures I thought I'd share.

I always liked the polled Black Angus and the Black Baldy cattle. The calves are too cute!
What kind of bull do you have with your cows?

I miss our cattle. Maybe next year we will be able to get some more.

Nice herd of cows Katy!!!...I'll have to take a few pics of the ones in the meadow behind me..they aren't mine but they come a running when I call!!...lol

We have Angus bulls. In the one picture one of them is coming to see if we brought them any treats. The cows are a Simmental mix mostly. We switched to Angus bulls from Simmental about 4 or 5 years ago.

We have enough pasture ground to have around 75 pairs, plus replacement heifers. Wish we had more.

I plan on releasing the pheasants that hatched today in one of the pastures when they're old enough.
